First off, if you haven’t joined the Podcast bandwagon, what are you doing? Go and get on the train right now!
Are you the type of person who is always wanting to learn new things? I certainly am. I love being able to listen to podcasts where I can learn cool facts while doing other things where I wouldn’t be able to sit down and read. I currently find the Human body, Outer space and Galaxies, Aromatherapy, and small scale Horticulture super fascinating, but it is purely for my own interest, making it hard to justify spending loads of money on an education, or even degree, in a specific subject.
Anyways if you haven’t realized already. I recently have really gotten into listening to podcasts. As someone who takes almost 2hr’s of Public Transit daily, it is a life saver. Music is great, but I have to update my podcast frequently. This way, I just pop on my headphones and head out the door. My main listening platform is Spotify and I have had Spotify for so long that it would be weird to switch to Apple Music or Google Play now. I love the Premium version, as you can download Songs, Playlists and Podcasts for Offline listening to save on Data usage. Great right?!
Ologies – Did you know there is an actual University class you can take on the Harry Potter spells? I do now. The podcasts are anything that end in ‘ology’, and range from Watchmakers and Robots to Pumpkins and Bats. I never thought I’d actually find listening to a podcast about spiders interesting, but it was so fascinating. At the end of each episode, Alie asks questions that listeners have submitted to the Ologists and I just really love it.
Beautiful Anonymous – Anonymous callers spend an hour talking to Chris about anything they choose. It’s really interesting listening to someone walk around Walmart people watching or someone talking about their line of work that others aren’t necessarily aware of. The episodes range from hilarious to heartbreaking, but there is something there for everyone.
The Health Code – Started by Youtuber Sarah’s Day and her boyfriend Kurt, they talk about health, fitness, lifestyle and relationships and it’s really just an all around good time. Being Aussie they have good accents and their personalities really come through on their podcast episodes.
Science Rules! with Bill Nye – I don’t know about you, but the intro to Bill Nye show will forever be ingrained in my brain from school science class. Am I right?
In this podcast he answers all your questions on all things Universe, so you can learn about Psychopaths, Climate Change, Nuclear Weapons and Antibiotics. I love it all.
Thanks for reading and I hope you all get some awesome new Podcasts to listen to. Comment below if there are any you think I should check out next!
