This was the second year of the Sunflower Festival in Chilliwack. Last year, I left it til the end of the season to go, meaning there wasn’t many flowers left blooming. This year I planned it for when the Sunflowers would be at their peak blooms and it was SO worth it.
How cute are all these Blooming Sunflowers?! So may colours and different types. Lots of photos ops with Pink, Red, Yellow or White Sunflowers. They have the huge Mammoth ones, as well as these adorable Teddy Bear Sunflowers that just look so fluffy.
Of course, I had to get some photos with my new sun hat! I must say, it’s really nice to have a Photography friend, so that you can both go out and take photos for each other!
In conclusion; I absolutely LOVE going to Gardens and things. The Sunflowers offer backdrops for any occasion of Photos, open during all weather (less people if its rainy) and open more than just on the weekends, meaning you have a high chance of being able to get there yourself.
Open until mid September, I’d definitely recommend a visit or two. If you buy your tickets online, you skip the line and save a few dollars.
You can get u-pick flowers or buy a pre-made bouquet of Dhalias to take home to brighten up your living room. I love the look of yellow sunflowers in the living room. Just adds happiness to the place.
