Are you settling into all of the Work/School routines that September brings?Last week was the beginning of September, and I got back into the routine of a normal work schedule after a Summer full of Adventures and Casual Work. I really tried to enjoy my two months off, since it was probably the only time I will be able to take a Summer off for quite a while.
I absolutely loved being able to make my own schedule, enjoy the sunshine, wake up without an alarm, but something about having proper structure to the day has been nice. Although I was reluctant to having to get up earlier than I was all summer.
Anyways, this post is two weeks of my Meal Ideas and a little recap of my last week. (Sept 1-7)
If you haven’t seen my previous post on why and how I like to plan my meals, you can check it out here.
I have started waking up at 7am, so I have an hour and a half before work to make some tea, wash my face, have breakfast, write in my planner, check the news, etc. It’s really nice to be able to slowly prepare for the day, especially while we still have some sunny mornings left.
I received my parcel this week of my new GLASS Bottle from Grosche. It is good for Hot or Cold drinks and has a really cute print on it as well as coming with a sleeve to protect it somewhat.
I got this bottle, so I can donate all my other plastic ones to someone who could use them. I have so many reusable cups, it’s kind of embarrassing to admit. Haha
If you aren’t familiar with Grosche and what they do, they are an Amazing Company that provides Clean Drinking Water to those who need it, a Certified B Corp, use 100% renewable Energy, run a Banana Plantation and more. I own three products of theirs and hope to try our their tea and coffee soon!
Of course, with being back at work, my week was pretty busy with work things, but I’ve been going through my things to see if there is anything I can get rid of and clean out and Donate.
I did a little Hilary Duff movie Marathon, which was really good. Also found out that It Takes Two is now on Netflix, so you bet I watched that too!
I picked the only two carrots that grew from my garden, applied for a few second jobs, had a little Stay in Date Wine Night and listened to the crazy Thunderstorm we had on Saturday night. I’d say it was a pretty nice week back in routine.
Now onto my meal plan. I would really like to work on assembling a Master List of Meals so I can just draw from it every week, but it seems a little overwhelming getting such a list together. For now, I will continue these Meal Idea lists for you and me.
As you probably already saw in my last post, I like to use leftovers for my lunches, but I tried to come up with some more lunch ideas that I can prep for 2 or 3 days to take to work with me. Some days are leftovers, some are not.
Monday Lunch – Stuffed Sweet Potatoes (I like to think Taco fillings)
Monday Dinner – Stir fry
Tuesday Lunch – Leftover Stir fry

Wednesday Lunch – Taco Salad
Wednesday Dinner – Perogies
Thursday Lunch – Sandwich or Salad

Friday Lunch – Leftover Pasta and Homemade Garlic Bread
Friday Dinner – Vegan Sloppy Joes
Saturday Lunch – Leftover Sloppy Joes
Saturday Dinner – Fried Rice (I load mine up with veggies)
Sunday Lunch – Veg Chilli (Two types of beans, Veg and some veggie Beef)
Sunday Dinner – Family Dinner
Monday Lunch – Chilli Leftovers

Tuesday Lunch – Quinoa Salad

Friday Lunch – Quinoa Salad

Saturday Lunch – Pancake Brunch
Saturday Dinner – Veg and Chickpea Curry

I know this meal plan is quite similar to my last post, but I tend to have a few favourites and then I often just modify it to make it slightly different. Tacos are really easy to switch up weekly – beans, cauliflower, meat.
Pizza toppings are endless, Quinoa Salad can be Greek Style one week and Spicy Bean the next, Curry could be a Thai Curry or an Indian Dhal.
Hope this is a few more ideas to make your meal times a little more fun!
I’m thinking of making a Master Grocery List printable for you all to use to make assembling your shopping list easier.
