I really enjoy entertaining. Hosting dinner and drinks for friends or just some tea and desserts. Either way, I find joy in it.
Those of you that know me well, probably know that I have a tea addiction.. (it is the second shelf in the photo) I used to have all my tea in a cupboard, but apartment living means limited kitchen space and I just couldn’t see my tea’s very well.
I had bought a small bar cart secondhand, but it was kinda tacky looking and fairly small, so alas this lovely drink cart shelving unit was born!
I will list some of my essential items from top to bottom and where to find some of them as well.
Tea Pot — I bought mine from IKEA, but you can find them almost anywhere.
French Press (Not Photographed) — Great for making coffee and also works to froth milk!
Coffee Grinder — Mine is from Starbucks, but again could be found at most shops.
Sweeteners — White/Brown Sugar and Honey. I store them in mason jars, because I like being able to see them and they’re compact.
Coffee Beans: I have a Blonde, Medium and Dark Roast, but obviously that isn’t necessary.
Tea Scoops — I have a scoop that I use for my loose leaf teas, as well as my tea ball and some teaspoons stored in a jar.
Teas — I am slowly transitioning to all loose leaf, but I still store all my teabags in jars as well just because I like having everything in jars. Is that weird?
I have some individually wrapped teabags in a bowl, because they’re easier to grab quickly.
Third Shelf: This is probably a semi-obvious shelf, but I will go through it anyways
Mugs — I like to have nice medium sized mugs. Great for a big cuppa tea!
To-go Mugs — Gotta be able to take my tea with me wherever I go, ya know.
Wine Glasses — I love these stemless glasses. Found them at Winners in a pack of 8.
Cocktail Glasses — Also found these at Winners. Made from Recycled Glass and a nice size for a G&T.
Martini Glasses — I don’t have any, because I’m not a martini drinker and honestly, I put the majority of my drinks into the wine glasses I have.
Shot Glasses — I have 4, just because when people come over you don’t have to constantly rinse one out.
Bowls for Fruit and Ice — I like to have a bowl to put some ice in and another bowl for lemons, limes, etc to garnish cocktails.
Straws — I have paper straws and reusable straws. No disposable plastic ones, because they’re really bad for the environment and marine life.
Cocktail Book — Optional! I found this little gem secondhand for 50 cents, so of course I had to pick it up. There are some very odd recipe in it, but there are the classics and some lovely ones.
Cocktail Shaker — Great for making various cocktails, but not mandatory.
Alcohol — I try to have a Vodka, Gin, and Rum on hand as they’re most commonly what I mix with. Sometimes we will have a whiskey or wine added to the collection, but not always.
So that’s all of my little bar collection and I LOVE having a little drink station to add to entertaining.
