These past two weeks have been busy (and lovely).
Matt and I start off with going to a Puzzle Sale where people donate puzzles to the library and then people can buy them for a fraction of the cost of a brand new puzzle. All the proceeds go back to the library, so it’s pretty great.
After that, we headed to Decades to get some work done and I got a vanilla Oat Milk Latte as well as their soup (vegan and gluten free) and it is always SO good!
It rained so much that day, so we just came home after.
Started our first puzzle a couple days later, which was a tough one! Only 750 pieces, but all the leaves/greenery looked exactly the same.. haha Discovered a good series on Netflix called The Stranger. Mystery/Thriller and I’m hoping for a Season 2!
Over the weekend, we headed out to Langley to check out the recently opened PinkAvo cafe and it is SO CUTE! I will definitely be back, as they were sold out of the drink I wanted and their food looks delicious. I got a Chili Turmeric Latte with Oat Milk and it was the perfect spiciness. Will try it with coconut milk next time I think. They have some cute chairs, pink mugs and dishes, a long bar that runs along one wall, a cute neon sign and a plant ‘tapestry’ style wall.
After the PinkAvo, we headed out to IKEA. I had to exchange a gift from Christmas, but after we exchanged the item we headed through the maze of display rooms and all that fun stuff.
We left with a much needed shoe rack, the cutest serving bowl, wooden salad tongs, a new lamp shade and a plant (Ernie Jr, after I severely neglected the previous one a few years back)..
I have been reading every morning and I finished reading The Neuroscientist Who Lost her Mind and it is SO good. Two time cancer survivor and Neuroscientist talks about her journey into madness and overcoming brain cancer.
After finishing that book, I started – and finished – Someone We Know. It is definitely one that once you start, you don’t want to put down. Full of suspense and a real page turner keeping you guessing until the very end.
Started reading Room yesterday, and although off to a slow start, it gets better.
I think I just might pass my goal of 12 books this year, since I’m already on book #4.
I purchased an Oracle Deck after a lot of curiosity about it. Only pulled a few cards from it, but I find it very interesting. It is different from Tarot cards, but similar idea from my understanding.
I also attended a Branding & Influencer event over the weekend and it was lovely. Matt and I went out to Vancouver for the afternoon while I connected with some people and got an awesome goodie bag to take home as well! Complete with Vegan Powder (Whole Food similar to protein), Energy bites, Chocolate Coconut Chips, Tea, Coconut Bowl, Straw and Carrying holder, Chaga, Dates and a Coconut Peanut Butter. So many good stuff!
Lastly, I’m off to the Island for a few days over reading break next week, so stay tuned for a post on what we get upto.
