September 9th – 21st
These past two weeks have been busy, still getting back into the regular routine of things, but I an enjoying my routine. Working on incorporating slow mornings, earlier bedtime and moving everyday wether that be simple stretching/yoga in my living room, a workout at the gym or a walk.
My first week was started with taking some donations to the Secondhand Store and buying a few things to make a lovely DIY Fall Wreath. You can find that post here. Isn’t it just adorable?
Next up, I had a very busy mid week day, as we had a BBQ at work for 400+ people on top of our regular cooking work load, so that was a very hectic day, with an appointment in the middle of my split shift.
Thankfully it was a Skype appointment, so I managed to run home for that and it was so lovely.
I met with a Holistic Nutritionist and can’t wait to have my follow up appointment to go over some health things and my Wellness Plan.
I also signed up for an awesome Health Bundle this week that was on super sale! It has 30 different ‘courses’ that you have lifetime access to with everything from Meal Planning, Hormones, Yoga, Meditation, Fitness, Gut Health, Cutting out Sugar and more.
Super excited to dive into them all, as I have really been wanting to get more into taking care of my own health with long term goals in mind.
I then had a family Brunch on the weekend with Waffles, Fresh Fruit and some delicious Homemade Fruit Sauces plus Mimosas! Raise your hand if you also LOVE a Mimosa with your Weekend Brunch?! ?♀️
I also went to one of my favourite Local Coffee Shops called Amarti and had a delicious Cardamom Latte. If you’re local to the Fraser Valley, they are an awesome place to go. You can find them here supporting local businesses and serving up really good Parallel49 Coffee roasted in Vancouver.
I also organized all my fabric for my Etsy shop to get it all cut and sewn. I have a few other projects to add to my Shop with my new fabric, as right now I just have my Produce Bags and some Makeup Remover Squares listed. You can find my Etsy shop here. It will be updated soon with all my new fabric prints and new projects, so stay tuned!
Stopped by my favourite Local British Store, called Dickens Sweets in Chilliwack and got some delicious crisps, as well as my favourite Fair Trade Cocoa. If you’ve never been, they have lots of Nostalgia British decor in a museum style, as well as a section for High Tea or Lunch and all the British Candy, Snacks, Cheese and Pies you could want, the best tea wall and tea cup and saucer sets for sale. Talk about a dreamy store!
After Dickens, we made sure to stop by the Garden Centre and I was really good with my self control and didn’t buy all the plants!
I bought some seeds good for Spring Plantings as well as currently as they can grow through winter, some little Gourds to decorate my living room, a lightbulb for my Indoor Plants this winter and a Heather Plant for my patio table.
It was so hard not to buy the Fiddle Leaf Figs and all the cute Cacti and Succulents, but I don’t get enough sunlight in my apartment for a Fig and my windowsill is running out of room for any more Cacti.
Anyways, that’s about my two weeks in a nutshell. Currently putting off doing laundry, by writing this post and looking at Fall Decor Ideas as well as DIY Advent Calendars, because Christmas comes around SO fast! ☃️
Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
Question for ya: What’s your favourite fall thing to do?
Mine is definitely cozying up in a coffee shop or going on a Pumpkin Hunt and taking cute fall photos!
