This weekly recap is a little different from my usual one, but I have some exciting new things happening and I cannot wait to tell you all!
Do you get tired of your regular routine? I felt like I was in this weird rut lately of just being kinda grumpy and unmotivated, plus a few things having an outcome that I can’t decide and just feeling stuck in general. I was feeling increasingly anxious about things that I wasn’t able to control and I realized I was so tired of it. That eventually led me to choosing to start actually saying YES to new opportunities and NO to the ones I don’t want anymore, and that is how I stumbled across this new opportunity.
I took a bit of a leap of faith. I am going to have to push myself out of my introvert comfort zone and network with other awesome likeminded people, but I’m ready and so excited. I’ve been filling up a lot of my free time with working to get everything together.
They always say we don’t get anywhere by staying in our comfort zones and it is so true. I’ve done most of my growing when I was taking a leap of faith or pushed myself out of my boundaries I built around myself.
I really have been super excited to start this journey, thinking about an opportunity like this, but I just put it off for so long.. like well over A YEAR!! It was time to actually do something for myself.
This lead me down the path of becoming a Virtual Assistant! Since this is my latest project in the works, it takes up a fair bit of my time, but that’s okay. The good things never come easy, so I’m ready to hustle hard. I got into this job venture out of boredom believe it or not. I was bored of my job, but wasn’t quite ready to give up the daytime hours and stability, so I decided to find a way to incorporate something I enjoy into my current schedule. With this new business venture, I am very excited to get right in.
Some of my goals are to double my monthly blog views from their current numbers, post regularly on my instagram as I’ve gotten bad at that, and write a little Ebook!! I am currently working on getting some recipes together for all lovely readers to put into an Ebook, but I’m notorious for just making dinner and then realizing it would’ve been a good recipe after I’ve assembled it all and not written anything down. Haha Need to work on that, so make sure to comment below if there are any recipes you’d love for me to come up with. I’m all for quick dinners, packed with veg and all the comfort food feelings.
Now onto my weekly recap; which is short but sweet.
This past weekend, I was dog sitting my favourite dog Coda, so naturally I was sad to be leaving my Cat Charlie at home with my roommate. Of course, Charlie didn’t seem to mind that I was packing my bags and leaving.. except that he wouldn’t have anyone to creepily stare at for a couple days. He is such a funny cat!
Dare I ask how your Christmas Shopping is going? I am very happy to announce that I have finished ALL my Christmas shopping and it isn’t even DECEMBER! Normally I start come December 1st, but this year between homemade gifts and just some general organization, I am ALL DONE! It feels so good 🙂 They just have to be wrapped. So excited to start my homemade Advent Calendar on Sunday! As well as my Tea one from Bird & Blend.
Most of this week has been spent working on getting my business venture together, a Costco trip and watching Netflix and Disney+.
